Arkansas Senior Olympics

The Arkansas Senior Olympics has contacted Dee Vincent asking the Village PIckleball Club to direct the '08 Olympics in September.   This will be the third year the club has participated.

Pickleball is truly becoming a known sport in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.   The club has also welcomed out-of-staters, who wanted to learn about Pickleball, on their visit to the Village.   Guests from Michigan and as far away as Madagascar Island enjoyed the game so much they are now starting pickleball in their own location.   A couple of Oregon RVers found the Village PIckleball Club through the ASAPA  Ambassador Listings and contacted Dee Vincent, to play while in the area.   The enthusiasm is still growing in the village and players are enjoying a tournament the first Saturday of each month.

In the picture the front court is played by Steve Sietz and Jim McPherson playing against  Dan Trepanier and Jim Cara.   Pickleball players in the village are thoroughly enjoying the new courts.    One tennis court  was converted into four pickleball courts and there are two additional courts painted on tennis courts.
