Teaching Pickleball to High School Students

Wednesday, April 17, 2007 was a fun day at Valley Vista high school in Surprise Arizona. Ten seniors from nearby Arizona Traditions and Sun City Grand spent the entire school day teaching over 100 Freshman students the basics of the game of Pickleball. Nearly all of the students had never seen or played the game before but with a little practice they really enjoyed it. This was the fourth session of the season for the program in two local high schools. The program will continue and probably expand next season if planned city courts become available.
