Working on the article this month focused on the up and coming younger generation of players was gratifying - our sport is strong and growing into the future with these talented young people. But I've also had the opportunity this month to see what's happening in several senior communities.  With economic conditions improved over the last two years, there are far more winter residents this year in our Arizona communities. And that equates directly to a huge increase in the number of seniors who are being introduced to the game - and being hooked into regular exercise and new social connections. My own club runs new player classes twice a week and has regularly seen 30-35 newbies per session - and most of them love it and keep on playing. Two other clubs I've visited recently cite similar numbers.  A sport that's challenging for young people, as well as for young at heart seniors - how much better can it get?! Pickleball is definitely a sport for a lifetime!
