THE USAPA HOSTS A NATIONAL PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
SURPRISE, AZ – NOVEMBER 22-30, 2008
Events:
- Open Division, Senior Division, Junior Division – Men’s Singles
- Open Division, Senior Division, Junior Division – Men’s Doubles
- Open Division, Senior Division, Junior Division – Women’s Singles
- Open Division, Senior Division, Junior Division – Women’s Doubles
- Open Division, Senior Division, Junior Division – Mixed Doubles
Senior Division will be divided into 5 year age brackets.
Junior Division will be in two groups: 14 and younger; 18 and younger.
Age groups may be combined depending on number of participants.
All ages may participate in Open Division.
All Divisions will be double elimination format.
Schedule:
- Saturday, November 22 – Senior Division Men’s Doubles
- Sunday, November 23 – Senior Division Women’s Doubles
- Monday, November 24 – Senior Division Mixed Doubles
- Tuesday, November 25 – Senior Division Men’s Singles
- Wednesday, November 26 – Senior Division Women’s Singles
- Thursday, November 27 – THANKSGIVING - Recreational Play Open to All Participants and Their Families
- Friday, November 28 – Open Division Doubles
- Friday, November 28 – Junior Division Singles
- Saturday, November 29 – Open Division Singles
- Saturday, November 29 – Junior Division Doubles
- Sunday, November 30 – Open & Junior Division Mixed Doubles
Fees:
$20 Registration fee plus $5.00 for each event.
There will be reduced fees for Juniors.
USAPA membership will be required.
Entry Regulations:
Age restrictions apply to Junior Division (age 18 and under) and Senior Division(age 50 and older.) Your eligible age will be the age you will be on December
31, 2008. All ages may participate in Open Division.
Entry deadline is November 17, 2008. There will be no onsite registrations.
The tournament ball will be the Yellow Seamless DURA Ball made in Singapore.
Current USAPA Rules will apply.

OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS.
AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE
TOP THREE FINISHERS IN EACH
EVENT. THERE WILL BE CASH
PRIZES FOR OPEN DIVISION
WINNERS. AWARD WINNERS
WILL ALSO RECEIVE RANKING
POINTS TO HELP ESTABLISH
THEIR COMPETITIVE LEVELS.
SURPRISE IS LOCATED 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE PHOENIX SKY HARBOR AIRPORT. THE WEATHER IN NOVEMBER IS GENERALLY IN THE 70’S AND SUNNY DURING THE DAYS – AROUND 45° AT NIGHT.
