THE PICKLEBALL CRAWL ?

Friday January 9th, 2009 will go down in pickleball history! It was on this perfect winter day in Sebring, Florida that the dance craze of Pickleball lovers was introduced. From this day forward pickleballers across the country will be wanting to showcase the PICKLEBALL CRAWL!!

Leave it to Wayne Roswell, “Mr Pickleball” to the residents of Tanglewood, to present the first annual Pickleball Pizza Bash, complete with fun, food and dance! Like any other pickleball event, the day began with playing pickleball, but with a twist.
All the paddles were lined up along the fence while players listened to the new, CRAZY rules of the games.
Everyone got to play at least seven different games, including: backward scoring, opponents score on your serve, forehand only, lobs only, dink shots only, and playing with your paddle in the opposite hand!!
Before the Pizza arrived at 12:30, players were entertained by our resident clowns Marcel and Louise LeMieux and enjoyed tangerines from the tress in Bill Phillips backyard.
The final event of the day had all the pickleball players taking to the courts to introduce the Pickleball Crawl! The music sounded: it was "The Watermelon Crawl", by Tracy Byrd, but resident pickleballers, Margo Holliday, Jill Condon and Sherry McKinney had re-written the lyrics………..It was now The Pickleball Crawl. Sherri did a great job teaching everyone the dance and we all presented our new dance with Pickleball Pride!!
