Kings Point Winter in Paradise, Pickleball Wing Ding

February 7, 2009 – Once again Louann Dubendorf and the Kings Point Pickleball League provided a day of great pickleball fun for all levels of play at the annual Winter in Paradise Pickleball Wing Ding. As in previous years, the day included round robin and challenge play for both the competitive and recreational player.

Lee County Senior Games

February 8th, 2009 –The city of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department hosted the 2009 Lee County Senior Games. The 20th Annual event, sponsored by the Florida Sports Foundation was held at the Wa-Ke- Hatchee Rec Center in Ft. Myers, Fl.

As you can see in the picture, the games were played indoors. There was a total of six courts. Games included Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

Following registration, the games began before 9:00 AM, and continuted until about 3 in the afternoon.

In addition to Lee County residents, this year’s event drew several participants from surrounding counties. Compliments to the organizers………..the games were very well managed. Great competition and a good time was had by all.
