KINGS POINT, SUN CITY CENTER PICKLEBALL LEAGUE

Pickleball players love to read about what other clubs are doing……There are a lot of new members who want to get pickleball started in their community, recreation center or city park. There are so many groups out there who can share their experiences. Weather your pickleball group is large or small, what you do to attract new players and what you do to make pickleball fun will surely be appreciated by those trying to do the same.

Kings Point is a gated, over 55 community in Sun City Center, Florida . With over 37 miles of roads throughout the community it is know for it’s beautiful recreation centers, friendly people and an abundance of amenities including golf……….AND PICKLEBALL.

Pickleball was introduced in the community in 2002, There are two pickleball courts and a multi-purpose court where residents play. Louann Dubendorf, a Kings Point resident keeps pickleball players up-to-date on pickleball activity on her Kings Pointe pickle ball website. Below,she shares the history of her KingsPoint Pickleball League from the original handful of residents who dared to come to the courts, to current daily play, fun events and seasoned players………This league is well know for attracting seasonal residents ,aka “snowbirds’ meeting the pickleball needs of both the recreational player and the seasoned competitive tournament player.
